SALE City and Woodside will hoist the North Gippsland senior football and A grade netball premiership flags on the opening day of the 2017 season.
Both clubs will launch the defence of their titles against the teams they overcame in last season's grand finals, when the Bulldogs and Wildcats host Heyfield and Rosedale respectively.
The season will begin Saturday, April 1, with Yarram taking on Traralgon-Tyers United, Glengarry facing Churchill and Gormandale lining up against Cowwarr at Traralgon in the remaining round one match-ups.
Lindenow will begin the defence of its East Gippsland football premiership on home soil when it takes on Lakes Entrance in round one of the 2017 season.
The EGFNL will also begin on Saturday, April 1, with Boisdale-Briagolong hosting Stratford.
