A VICIOUS assault in Sale earlier this month left two young men hospitalised, and seeking information about their assailants.
The pair, who work at Oneills restaurant, Sale, were walking home after staff drinks along Macarthur St between KFC and Dundas St about 1am on Sunday, March 5.
The two men, aged in their early 20s, allege being followed by two younger males, and, becoming suspicious of their friendliness, tried to cross the road to get away from them.
One of the victims said they were attacked from behind and pulled down to the ground, and remembers being yelled at to hand over his phone and being punched repeatedly before he was knocked unconscious.
The offenders fled the scene on bicycles.
The other victim, who suffered major damage to his teeth, roused his cousin after the attack, and the pair stumbled home before his mother called an ambulance and the police.
One of the victims reported vomiting blood for several days afterwards, and has returned to Sale hospital for treatment repeatedly as a result of the attack.
The offenders have been described as having shaggy, above shoulder length hair.
People with information can report it to Sale police on 5142 2200, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
