WORKERS and families from Australian Sustainable Hardwoods mill in Heyfield gathered on the steps of state parliament in Melbourne on Tuesday, hoping to put faces to the job losses the town will sustain if the mill is forced to close.

The state government was due to make a significant decision about the mill's future on Tuesday.
