YARRAM enjoyed a great Friday of football, defeating local rival Woodside by 79 points.
The Good Friday clash at Yarram was the only North Gippsland football match played at the weekend.
The Demons led at every change on their way to a 19.16 (130) to 7.9 (51) win. While the result kept the home side undefeated after three rounds, it was the Wildcats' first loss of the season.
The Demons pressured the Wildcats when they had the ball, winning the tackle count each quarter.
Griffin Underwood and Chris Bruns were particularly damaging for Yarram in the midfield.
After leading by 15 points at quarter-time, Yarram kicked six goals to three to take a 28-point lead into the main break.
The Demons dominated the second half, kicking 10 goals to three.
Corbin Sutherland kicked six goals for the Demons, taking his season tally to 14.
Todd Bryant was the Wildcats' best player.
The split round will finish next Saturday, with Rosedale at home against Heyfield, Gormandale hosting Sale City, Traralgon-Tyers United heading to Churchill, and Cowwarr hosting Glengarry.
