A 48-YEAR-old Coburg woman has been suspended from driving after returning a blood alcohol reading almost three times the legal limit.
Police intercepted the woman in Lind Avenue, Dargo about 11.40pm, and returned a positive preliminary breath test.
A breath test was conducted at the Dargo police station and a reading of 0.143 was recorded.
She was issued with an infringement notice and her driver licence was immediately suspended, and she was disqualified from driving for 14 months.
ABOUT 8.40pm on Saturday night, police attempted to intercept a speeding vehicle in Lind Avenue.
The driver fled from police and a short time later crashed into a fence at a nearby caravan park. The driver then ran away leaving four passengers in the car.
The driver was arrested the following morning when she reported the car stolen.
A 21-year-old female from Wheelers Hill has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, dangerous driving, evading police, making a false report to police and other traffic offences.
She was bailed to appear at Sale Magistrate's Court in May.
