AHEAD of their local derby this Sunday, Maffra and Sale lost to higher-ranked opponents in Gippsland League netball at the weekend.

WOODSIDE defeated Rosedale 45-32 in the second grand final rematch of the North Gippsland season.

The Wildcats remain in second place, eight points behind Heyfield, which defeated Sale City 31-25 at home.

Churchill upset third-placed Glengarry 42-37 at home, but the Cougars remain in seventh spot.
