A DENISON man died after a single vehicle crash in Stratford on Saturday evening.
The 27-year-old was driving along Briagolong Rd near Blackall Creek about 8pm, when left the road and collided with a large tree.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Wellington Highway Patrol, State Emergency Service, RACV and CFA were at the scene for about four hours while traffic was diverted via alternative routes.
Wellington Highway Patrol is investigating, and preparing reports for the Coroner.
Wellington Highway Patrol Sergeant Luke Banwell attended the scene, and said incidents like this one were a tragedy for communities.
"The family and friends of the victim suffer immeasurably," he said.
"Emergency service workers also experience various levels of trauma and stress as a result of attending these collisions.
"Collisions as serious as this serve as a reminder of the dangers of road use.
"We need to drive to the conditions and never become complacent."
