POLICE are investigating an incident last week where a truck and a sedan collided on Swamp Rd, Kilmany.
Last Wednesday morning, October 4, about 7.35am, the prime mover with trailer and late ’90s Ford collided on the single lane road while negotiating the Sale-Toongabbie Rd and Swamp Rd bend.
No one was hurt, though the car was extensively damaged.
Wellington Highway Patrol’s Sergeant Luke Banwell said it was a good reminder for people to drive safely on rural roads.
“Pay particular attention to bends,” he said.
“There’ll always be someone cutting the corner — even if it’s a single lane road, the offence of failing to keep left still applies.
“Expect the unexpected.”
Anyone who saw the crash should phone Highway Patrol on 5142 2200, or Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000.
