THE East Gippsland Football-Netball League will return to a four-week finals series next year.
The league website shows the 2018 fixture, with the finals beginning with the first semi-final on Sunday, August 26.
The three remaining finals will be played on the following Saturdays.
The grand final will be played on Saturday, September 15, a week before the Gippsland League’s.
In previous years, the two EGFNL semi-finals were played on the same weekend.
The season to begin the weekend after Easter on April 7. Round one will see Stratford host local rival Boisdale-Briagolong.
The Bombers will host the Swans on June 2, with the final Battle of the Avon at Stratford on July 28.
Round four will be split, with two matches on April 28 and the other two May 5.
There will be a general bye on the Queen’s Birthday weekend in June.
The 2017 premiers, Lindenow (football) and Orbost-Snowy Rovers (netball) will unfurl their flags during round two.
The rematch of this year’s football grand final between Lindenow and Lucknow won’t be played until round six, May 19. The combatants in the netball grand final, Orbost-Snowy Rovers and Lindenow, will meet a week later.
