THE Criterion Caterpillars Movember team has raised more than $4000, by growing some truly disturbing moustaches.
In the final days, some participants resorted to using dye to bulk up their growths.
Team captain Lachie Dowd was effusive in his praise.
“It’s been really good,” he said.
“The boys have really got around it; it’s been unreal.
“I think we’ll make it a yearly event.”
The community had also provided plenty of support, with almost $1000 counted in tip jars in the pub.
“There’s been a lot of people donating,” Mr Dowd said.
“We have seen a lot of people come into the pub with moustaches, doing it for the same great cause.
“I’m happy with all the efforts the boys have put in for their fundraising.”
Donations can still be made at moteam.co/criterion-caterpillars.
Movember raises money to tackle men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
