EMERGENCY services attended an incident in Sale pedestrian mall on Thursday morning where a vehicle crashed into concrete bollards, dislodging one and snapping off another.
The incident happened about 10.15am when an elderly driver was turning right into Raymond St from Cunninghame St, and she accidentally pushed the accelerator rather than the brake.
The first bollard was knocked down, and she came to rest against the second one.
Police said the woman was assessed by paramedics for shock, but was not injured.
Wellington Shire Council built and natural environment general manager Chris Hastie said council would repair and re-instate the affected bollards and return the shared road back to its previous condition.
