Man to face court on Sale assault


A MAN has been bailed to face Sale Magistrates’ Court in October in relation to an alleged assault in Sale early Saturday morning.

The victim suffered facial injuries, including lost teeth, after allegedly being punched in the back of the head while walking home from a licensed venue with friends.

A 26-year-old man from Tinamba was arrested on Tuesday, and charged with offences including recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault.

Police said investigations are continuing.

The man was allegedly approached by a group of men in an alleyway off Raymond St in Sale about 1am on Saturday morning. He walked away and was allegedly assaulted.
