SALE ensured its chance of four East Gippsland Hockey Association open premierships in a row remain, with a 3-0 win over Orbost in the preliminary final.
Orbost created early chances before Sale found its game, scoring three goals in the back end of the first half before consolidating the match.
Sale will play Swan Reach in the grand final on Saturday.
In the women’s match, Maffra and Swan Reach were unable to be separated, at 0-0 at the break before Swan Reach broke deadlock midway through the second half.
Maffra responded, before winning the penalty to shootout, with a huge performance from goalkeeper Kylie Lambert
Maffra will play Sale in the grand final.
Maffra dominated in the under 18s against Orbost, winning 6-1 to book a place against Sale in the grand final, and Nagle defeated Sale 2-1 in the under 15s.
Thomas Wrigglesworth scored two goals in the under 13s to help Sale defeat Wellington 3-2 in the under 13s.
