Two caravans are destroyed by fire in Seaspray

POLICE attended an incident in which two caravans were ablaze in Newton St, Seaspray.

It is believed the fire started in one caravan and quickly spread to another, destroying both.

A 50-year-old resident of one of the caravans escaped and was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished and has been deemed non-suspicious.

The ABC reported nearby residents heard explosions about 10.30am.

CFA declined to comment, saying it was a police matter.

Police are calling for witnesses, and those with information should phone Sale police station on 5142 2200 or Crime Stoppers.
