BUNDALAGUAH claimed the Fischer Cup after winning a low-scoring Sale-Maffra one-day cricket final against Collegians on Sunday.
Collegians appeared to be in the box seat to win after bowling out the Bulls for 87, but the visitors fought back to bowl out College for just 57.
Jason Langshaw top-scored for Bundalaguah with 30, while Nathan Hibbins (12) posted the innings’ only other score in double figures.
All five bowlers Collegians used were economical, with Mark Nicholls claiming four wickets.
The Collegians’ reply lasted just 21 overs, with Ben Hurley top-scoring on 10.
The home side lost wickets at a rapid rate, and couldn’t recover. Gayashan Munsinghe claimed 4-22 for the Bulls, Lachie Floyd 3-20 and Cloete Buitendag 2-10.
