EASTERN Victoria MLC Melina Bath wants the state government to clarify its pre-election promise to provide half-priced solar battery installation, set to be rolled out in July this year.

Energy, Environment and Climate Change Minister Lily D’Ambrosio last year announced the Solar Homes Program, which will provide solar panels, solar hot water or solar batteries to 720,000 homes in Victoria during a 10-year period.

However, after questioning in parliament by Ms Bath, Ms D’Ambrosio refused to clarify or identify Gippsland as one of the locations for the battery installation rebate scheme.
