POLICE are seeking witnesses or CCTV footage of an incident in Maffra last Thursday evening when a white utility mounted footpaths, destroyed garbage bins and did burnouts.
Police were called by several residents in Davis, Carpenter and Landy Sts, Maffra, just after 11pm, when the vehicle was spotted being driven erratically.
At least four garbage bins were run over in Davis St before the utility's driver sped toward Landy St and was later seen doing burn-outs in Cameron Court.
First Constable Matthew Arthur said it was lucky no-one was injured, as the bins were hit with considerable force, and completely destroyed.
Witnesses told police the vehicle was a dual cab, white ute with a silver tray and black bull bar, however, they were unable to get the number plate.
People with more information, or CCTV footage are urged to phone Leading Constable Arthur at Sale police on 5142 2200, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
