ST Mary's Primary School, Sale, students sang during a service last Thursday to bless new renovations at the 150-year-old school.
The school celebrated the addition of a lift and extra learning space to its two-storey building, as well as refurbishment of the staff room and administration area.
The Catholic Bishop of Sale, the Most Rev Patrick O'Regan, presided over the ceremony.
Also present were Gippsland MHR Darren Chester, Gippsland South MLA Danny O'Brien, Catholic education representatives, staff, students and families, and invited guests.
St Mary's principal Cathy Mesaric said she was excited to see staff and students using the new areas.
"The school has undergone substantial renovations in recent years, and I am thrilled to see teachers using the new spaces to engage students in their lessons," she said.
Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Sale Maria Kirkwood said it was wonderful to see Catholic education flourishing in Sale.
"We have high expectations for our whole Catholic education community," she said.
"By creating modern, engaging learning areas for students and upgrading the facilities for staff, St Mary's and Catholic College Sale are promoting excellence in a safe and welcoming environment."
The renovations at St Mary's were funded by the school.
