Sale’s St Mary’s Primary School will host its annual family fun night, Carnivale, on Friday from 5pm.
A big drawcard will be local singer and songwriter Barrie Jessep who will head the entertainment program.
He will perform a mix of genres and some of his original work which, together with his new four piece band, is just about to be recorded.
He calls himself a singer-songwriter but he is also a live looping instrumentalist, guitarist, percussionist and perfectionist with a passion for music.
He enjoys many different genres of music such as rock, reggae, folk, classical and jazz.
For patrons who also work up an appetite, there will be a barbecue, hot dogs, curries and hot potatoes as well as cakes, coffee and a wine bar.
There will also be pony rides, a petting zoo, showbags, lucky bottles and other amusements for the children.
This year there will also be a white elephant stall and a small craft and produce market.
The evening is the school’s major fundraiser for the year and has proved in years gone by to be a great night out for the entire family.
The annual twilight Carnivale will begin at 5pm and continue through to 8pm in the school grounds, next to St Mary’s Cathedral, 11 Pearson St, Sale.
Everyone is welcome.
