Huge night carnival for Maffra Show

A SATURDAY night full of entertainment for the whole family is planned for this weekend’s Maffra Show.

Events are planned across the whole arena including the dog high jump, cicus acts from Cirque Mystique, and lawn mower racing.

Show president Tim Dwyer said highlights of the night would be the death defying motor bike jumping from ‘Crossing the Gap’ and the inaugural ‘Iron Farmer competition.”

“Our Iron Farmer competition will be a great spectacle and will include such things as goat milking and hay bale stacking.

“We even have a number of paddock basher utes lined up for the competition, all without mufflers and one with no doors,” Mr Dwyer said.

”We will even have some surprise celebrity entrants.”

There will be plenty of teenage entertainment with a bucking bull and sumo wrestling suits, and gum boot throws and tug’o’war for children.”

The night will end with a huge fire works display.

There will be plenty of food to suit all tastes.

“We really encourage the community to come along and support our show which is put together by local volunteers,” Mr Dwyer said.
