A 60-YEAR-old Traralgon man will front Bairnsdale Magistrates Court tomorrow after he was remanded last week on arson charges.
At the hearing he will either enter a plea or apply for bail, something police said they would seek to have refused.
Police allege the man deliberately lit two small fires on the Sale-Maffra Rd on two separate days Boxing Day and Thursday, December 27.
According to local fire authorities one fire burnt a small patch of grass along the side of the road, while the other is believed to have been started in a garden bed.
Both fires were quickly extinguished by the local brigade.
As the cause of the fires were not clearly obvious, fire investigators were called in and determined they were suspicious.
