VICROADS expects all four lanes of traffic on the Wurruk to Sale section of the Sale-Traralgon highway duplication project to be open by the end of the month, weather permitting.
South Eastern Projects project director Charlie Broadhurst said, “Works are progressing well at the Reeve St intersection where new traffic signals and street lights are being installed.
“The traffic signals are expected to be switched on by the end of May.”
Following the opening of all four lanes to traffic, Mr Broadhurst said ongoing minor finishing works to local roads and landscaping might require lane closures and reduced speed zones from time to time.
He said a contract for the 1.7 km section at Traralgon East between Stammers and Minniedale Rds had been advertised, and he expects its to be awarded soon.
“A contract for 2.8km section near Nambrok is currently out for tender and is expect to be awarded in August,” Mr Broadhurst said.
