SALE’S St Mary’s Primary School Carnivale on Friday has been hailed a success, with the event well supported by the wider community.
Principal Kathy Mesaric said the event was a great success.
“It was a great community event that was well supported by our parents and the wider community,” she said.
“It was just as successful as last year; we held it a week earlier so we weren’t sure how it would go.
“We were very impressed with how the wider community supported the event; I think we had people from each school come through.
“We were very fortunate (with the weather), if it had of been the day before it would have been shocking.
“Someone was looking out for us.”
Ms Mesaric said the event was well supported by former students, including Sarah McLinden who provided entertainment.
“We had lots of ex-students coming along and supporting,” she said.
“We are very appreciative, particularly of our parents’ and friends’ committee which did a wonderful job.”
