Ironbark will be planted, despite Maffra petition

Powercourt St, Maffra, taken in December last year showing Golden Flame Trees dying after council parks and gardens team fed the trees a sugary solution. The solution was fed to the trees in October to pep them up, which reportedly worked well, however a later application followed by hot weather resulted in the solution fermenting and destroying some tree roots.

Ironbark will be planted, despite Maffra petition

Wellington Shire Council will progress with plans to plant about 200 Ironbark trees along Powerscourt St, Maffra, next autumn.
