POLICE have arrested three people and seized a significant amount of amphetamine and other drugs following raids Thursday night.
Detectives from the Wellington Crime Investigation Unit and the Wellington Tasking Unit, assisting Melbourne police, have executed warrants at Heyfield, Traralgon and Winnindoo, resulting in the seizure of amphetamines, cannabis, heroin and cash.
Three people, a Winnindoo man, a 22-year-old Heyfield woman and a 50-year-old woman from Hampton Park were arrested and have been bailed to appear in court with drug and firearm offences.
Local area commander Inspector Michael McGinn said the raids were the result of inquiries made by metropolitan and local detectives which subsequently involved the local addresses.
“This is great result for our community and a good example of co-operation between local members and inner city police,” he said.
