MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays on the Princes Highway between Wurruk to Sale this weekend as work continues on the duplication.
VicRoads is building a new road bridge over the Thomson River in Sale as part of the Princes Highway duplication.
Four days of bridge works, involving the lifting of bridge beams between 7am to 5pm, began today.
On Saturday and Sunday, traffic on the Princes Highway will be reduced to one lane across the Sale Causeway and short road closures will occur during each individual beam lift.
Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected during this time.
Drivers are advised to plan their trips in advance and use an alternative route if practical.
These works are weather dependent and dates and times may be subject to change.
