Car impounded: 160kmh

POLICE expect to charge a local woman on summons with traffic offences after detecting her driving at more than 160kmh.

The driver was detected at about 5.25pm on Friday travelling east on the Princes Highway at Flynn.

The car she was driving was impounded.

Witnessses who believe that they may have seen the vehicle travelling between Traralgon and Flynn are being urged to phone Rosedale police on 5199 2222.

A 30-YEAR-old Dargo man was seriously injured when he rolled a four wheel motor bike on a rural Dargo property on Thursday.

The accident happened about 11.15am while the man was working with cattle on a family farm.

Air and road ambulance and Briagolong Police attended the scene.

The man was flown by air ambulance to Latrobe Regional Hospital suffering shoulder, hip and possible internal injuries.

Police are investigating the accident.

BRIAGOLONG Police are advising local residents to lock their vehicles, even when parked in their driveways, after thieves gained access to an unlocked car and stole fuel from it.

Police believe that thieves entered the unlocked car between 11.45pm on Saturday, April 21 and 5.45am the following morning where they were able to activate the fuel cap from inside the car.

It is believed that fuel was then siphoned from the car’s tank.
