Teen’s leg fractured

A TEENAGE boy had to be airlifted to the Royal Children’s Hospital with severe leg injuries after he crashed his dirtbike near Briagolong at the weekend.

The 13-year-old was dirt biking with his father and several other riders at Toggle Hill Track, north of Briagolong, about midday on Saturday when he failed to land a jump and crashed.

The boy broke his femur and his wrist in the crash.

An ambulance was called, and the boy was airlifted to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melboure about 3.20pm that day, where he underwent surgery to pin the fractures.

SALE police are seeking witnesses after a vehicle was damaged while parked in the Spotlight car park in Cunninghame St, Sale on Saturday afternoon.

Leading Sen Constable Susie Kewley said the red Holden Barina was damaged between 11.30am and 3pm.

LATROBE Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man over a serious assault which occurred in Morwell on Saturday night.

A man is in a life threatening condition in hospital after he was involved in a fight with another man, after an ongoing dispute about 5.45pm. The victim, a 22-year-old Rowville man, was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
