A TEENAGE boy will face court on assault and attempted robbery charges, after he and several other youths accosted and bashed a man in Sale at the weekend.
Police have also interviewed two other teenage boys about the crime, which happened on Saturday night.
The victim was on Raymond St about 10pm, and had just taken some cash out at an ATM when the group of teens set up on him, attacking him and attempting to rob him.
They failed to get any cash off the victim, but left him with lacerations to his head which saw him hospitalised later than night.
Police stated the group of offenders was aged between 14 and 16 years old.
The boy charged with assault and attempted robbery will face the Children’s Court on the charges on August 20.
