A SUNDAY afternoon drive ended abruptly for one Maffra man after police apprehended him for drink driving.
About 4.30pm, police intercepted the driver about five kilometres outside Maffra on the Sale-Maffra Rd after receiving reports of erratic driving.
The man, aged in his 20s, was taken back to the Maffra police station, where he was breath tested for alcohol.
His blood alcohol reading was 0.142, nearly three times the legal limit.
Police anticipate he will face court on drink driving charges at a later date.
Police are seeking witnesses to the man’s driving prior to being pulled over by police. The man was driving towards Sale in a gold Holden Commodore sedan. Anyone who may have spotted the man’s driving is asked to phone Maffra police on 5147 1026.
