A 15-YEAR-old Maffra boy will face court after police caught him driving an unregistered motorbike down Landy St without a licence this week.
He is just one of many children aged 15 and 16, sometimes younger, illegally driving motorbikes around the area, according to police.
Under the new hoon legislation laws, anyone found guilty of such charges can, should they re-offend, have their vehicle impounded for 30 days, with the additional cost of about $900 to retrieve it.
Maffra police say they will use the full power of this law to tackle what they said was an ongoing menace.
Anyone with more information about such incidences should phone Maffra police station on 5147 1026.
