A COUNCILLOR since 2008, Jan Hildebrant promises to take to council her lifelong experience in community projects, public policy, education, Landcare, natural resource management, public policy, and town planning.
“Experienced in beef cattle farming, lucerne cropping, horse breeding and training and small business, I understand that keeping agriculture strong underpins the prosperity of our towns and small businesses and our food security.
“I have been actively involved in several council projects, including economic development, West Sale Airport, art gallery feasibility, strategic planning, and the Sale Livestock Exchange-saleyards plans,” Ms Hildebrant said.
“Responsible financial management that is fair for all and ensuring better resources and services for our smaller towns is vital.
“Working with state and federal governments for improvements in education, health, public transport, sports, art and culture, roads, bridges, pathways and RAAF expansion is an ongoing and very important role for council.
“I am committed to social justice and council leadership that truly reflects community values and vision. Over the past four years, I have worked hard to improve the way Council consults with its communities,” she said.
“Through initiatives such as the business roundtables and the community planning forums, you have shared in setting the direction for your communities.
“I have regularly attended community meetings across the shire.
If re-elected, Ms Hildebrant has committed to continuing to be a strong voice on council for residents’ concerns wherever they live.
“I will continue to make sure you participate in the decisions that affect your lives. In particular, I support sustainable living and planning processes that protect your quality lifestyles.
“I have proven skills, time and energy to properly represent you. I do listen and I do care, she said.
