SALE Community Business Association plans to bring the Christmas spirit back to Sale this festive season.
Determined to revive festive spirit in Sale’s business district, the association is enthusiastically supporting the Longford Lions with the organisation of the rejuvenated Christmas parade, along with its own Christmas window competition.
Association president Mandy Garrard complimented the Longford Lions Club on its organisation of this year’s parade.
“The Lions have a fantastic line-up for this year’s parade, which will showcase all that our community has to offer and celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season,” she said.
“I encourage everyone to put Saturday, December 1, in their diaries and join us in lining Raymond St to watch the parade.
“It will be loads of fun for all ages.
“There will be plenty of entertainment, wonderful floats, music, giveaways and many businesses will also use the parade as an opportunity to promote their Christmas specials.”
Final preparations are currently being made for this year’s SCBA Christmas window competition, and Ms Garrard hopes more businesses than ever will take part.
“Remember when we were children and seeing the Christmas window displays in the shops was all part of the magic of Christmas?” she said.
“Well let’s try and re-create that magic in Sale.
“Not only will it beautify the shops and our town during the festive season, it will also create a point of interest for individual stores that will attract customers.”
The competition is open to any business wanting to participate.
Sale Community Business Association membership is still being offered to local businesses for the reduced price of $99.
