Maffra has some great talent

THE judges’ votes are in … Maffra indeed has talent.

Maffra Secondary College hosted the final of its Maffra’s Got Talent competition this week, showcasing the talents of students.

The field was whittled down to five for the final after weekly lunchtime heats.

The sunny weather on Tuesday provided an ideal opportunity for the final to be held in the school’s outdoor ampitheatre in front of supportive fellow students.

Last year’s winner Paige Forster began the final with her version of the Rhianna song California King Bed.

Emma Hellings then sang Bubbly, the Colby Caillet song.

Then for something completely different, Jack Onley showed off his cup stacking stills to the music of Chris Brown. Adding to fun, Jack performed some of his routine blind-folded.

Jennifer Hume performed her own song, Forever and Always.

Bec Ingram and Gabby Simon rounded off the entertainment with a version of Bruno Mars’ The Lazy Song, wearing onesie pyjamas.

Judges awarded first place to Jennifer Hume, impressed by her original song and performance, with Jack Onley in second place.
