Police seek driver who struck pedestrian

MAFFRA police are calling for witnesses following a hit-run collision in Johnson St on Friday, October 12.

At 12.45pm in the afternoon a male pedestrian was crossing the westbound service road between Cambrai Hostel and the Chinese takeaway when he was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian suffered significant shoulder and neck injuries and concussion.

The driver of the vehicle inquired after the pedestrian’s condition but left without providing any details.

He was described as Caucasian, heavily built and about 45 years old.
