FIREFIGHTERS were last night able to contain a bushfire threatening Perry Bridge.
The fire was contained by 6pm, with wind conditions dying down allowing the efforts of ground crews and the helicopter to have maximum effect.
Seventeen appliances attended the scene.
Although properties were under threat, it is understood no homes were damaged but a caravan and shed may have been lost.
Firefighters remained at the scene of the fire into the night to keep the blaze within containment lines.
The medium, fast moving bushfire at Turners Rd was travelling in a south-easterly direction towards grassland.
Because of uncertain wind conditions, there were concerns the fire had the ability to change direction at any time.
The 121 hectare blaze began around 3.30pm, most likely from a burn-off.
