POLICE have charged a 36-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman over a weekend armed robbery of a Sale service station.
The United service station on the corner of the Sale-Maffra Rd and Princes Highway was allegedly robbed early Saturday morning.
Police had alleged two offenders entered the business with their faces obscured by scarves and hats, the man armed with a double barrel shotgun and the woman carrying a large combat-style hunting knife.
They demanded money from the male console operator, police alleging the male offender pressed the shotgun against him.
An amount of cash was scooped from the till and the offenders made their escape by car north on the Princes Highway.
A United spokesperson said the console operator had been offered counselling following the incident and given time off work.
