Mini-bus and car collide at Stratford

TWO international workers were taken to Central Gippsland Health Service, Sale, with minor injuries this morning when a car collided with a mini-bus just west of the railway crossing at  Stratford at 6.30am.

The bus, travelling east along the Princes Highway, was carrying 13 passengers, all international workers undertaking vegetable picking work on farms at Lindenow, when it was struck by a car travelling north along McFarlane Crescent.

The bus was driven by a 45-year-old man from Sale.

Police have issued the 33-year-old Llowalong driver of the car with a penalty notice for failing to give way at an intersection.
