COUNCIL relief centre workers are still fuming after an incident at the relief centre Friday which resulted in a Channel 7 cameraman ejected from the complex.
The council representative overseeing relief efforts said the man arrived at the relief centre in a taxi, and proceeded into sleeping quarters where he filmed families and children sleeping.
“He could have been anyone,” she said. “It’s behaviour like that, that gives journalists a bad name.”
She said the centre was a place where people could escape the traumas they might have seen and not a place to have a camera shoved in their face in the name of others’ entertainment.
