FIFTY-four-year-old Gary Poynton of Bundalaguah was fined $500 last Wednesday in Sale Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to handling stolen goods and making a false document.
The offences arose from an incident at the Sale Livestock Exchange on September 7 last year where two separate owners identified their previously stolen cattle at the saleyards.
Poynton had also provided false information on a national vendor declaration.
Wellington CIU Detective Sen-Const Scott Chandler said investigations were continuing in relation to other stolen cattle from these victims.
Detectives are keen to hear from any witnesses in relation to this and other livestock thefts in Wellington Shire.
