Woman dies following house fire

A 70-YEAR-old Traralgon woman, rescued by CFA crews after her home caught fire, has died in hospital.

The woman was found unconscious in her Hazelwood Rd home, which caught fire around 4am Tuesday morning, as CFA members conducted a search and rescue operation.

The woman received 20 minutes of CPR by CFA and paramedic crews, before being transferred in a critical condition to a Melbourne hospital, where she died.

A CFA representative said 95 per cent of the building was damaged as a result of the blaze, the cause of which is still being investigated.
