Thomson River

IN the 24 hours to 9am Monday rainfall totals of up to 30mm were recorded in the Thomson River catchment. Rainfall totals of up to 30mm have been forecast for the remainder of Monday into Tuesday.

Rivers in the Thomson catchment are below flood levels, however with forecast rainfall renewed areas of minor flooding may re develop.

The Thomson River at Cooper Creek is falling but with the forecast rainfall renewed rises to below the minor flood level (2.3m) are expected.

The Thomson River upstream of Cowwarr Weir is falling but with the forecast rainfall renewed rises to around the minor flood level (3.6m) may redevelop from Monday afternoon.

The Thomson River at Wandocka is falling but with the forecast rainfall renewed rises to around the minor flood level (6.2m) may redevelop overnight Monday into Tuesday.

The Thomson River at Sale Wharf is peaking below the minor flood level (2.4m). With the forecast rainfall renewed rises are expected from late Wednesday.

Macalister River downstream of Lake Glenmaggie: 0.46m, steady (10.56am 17/06/13)

Thomson River at Bundalaguah: 5.41m, steady (11.07am 17/06/13)

Thomson River at Sale Wharf: 2.06m, steady (10.32am 17/06/13)

Latrobe River

IN the 24 hours to 9am Monday rainfall totals of up to 40mm have been recorded in the Latrobe River catchment. Rainfall totals of up to 30mm have been forecast for the remainder of Monday.

Minor flooding is occurring in the Latrobe River catchment around Rosedale. Renewed stream rises may result throughout the Latrobe catchment as a result of forecast rainfall over the coming days.

The Latrobe River at Thom’s Bridge peaked below the minor flood level (4m) overnight Friday. Further stream rises are expected as a result of forecast rainfall which may result in renewed flooding.

The Latrobe River at Rosedale is currently around the minor flood level (4m). Forecast rainfall may result in renewed stream rises. Areas of minor flooding are expected to continue downstream of Rosedale during Monday.

Latrobe River at Rosedale: 3.96m, steady (10.07am 17/06/13)

Mitchell River

IN the 24 hours to 9am Monday, rainfall totals of up to 41mm have been recorded in the Mitchell River catchment. Rainfall totals up to 20mm have been forecast for the remainder Monday, mainly for the lower Mitchell River catchment.

Renewed stream rises are expected to occur in the lower reaches of Mitchell River catchment.

The Mitchell River at Glenaladale peaked around 3m (minor flood level 3m) during Saturday morning. Given forecast rainfall for Monday, renewed stream rises to the minor flood level (3m) are possible during Tuesday.

The Mitchell River at Rosehill peaked around 6.3m during Saturday evening. Renewed stream rises are expected as a result of forecast rainfall.

The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale is expected to have peaked during Saturday evening. Given forecast rainfall, renewed stream rises to the minor flood level (4m) are possible overnight Monday into Tuesday.

Mitchell River at Wuk Wuk Bridge: 3.15m, rising (8.28am 17/06/13)

Mitchell River at Bulmers Lane: 2.86m, rising (8.45am 17/06/13)

Mitchell River at Rosehill: 4.62m, rising (9.25am 17/06/13)
