Bridal fair attracts hundreds

Hundreds of people from across Gippsland turned out on a sunny winter’s day to visit the Gippsland Times Bridal Fair on Sunday.

The event showcased a wide range of services and products for couples planning to wed, including photographers, caterers, reception venues, civil celebrants, cakes and  limousines.

Gippsland Times advertising manager Julian McIvor said the bridal fair was a great success.

“There was a great atmosphere at the Ibis Styles in Sale.

“We used the venue last year for the first time and it provides an intimate, relaxed feel for the event,” he said.

“It was great for couples to check out everything in the one place, which can save a lot of legwork.

“For participating businesses, it was also a great opportunity to show what they have to offer and get their name out there, as well as being able to network and see what is being offered by other businesses.”

Barbara and Geoffrey Still of Maffra won a Flaschengeist pack in a bridal fair competition run on the Gippsland Times’ facebook page.

Their entry was voted most popular by Facebook followers.

Travis Stefanetti and Jenna Allan  of  Sale were the winners of another Flaschengeist pack, with a lucky ticket  in their take-home bridal gift bag.
