HEYFIELD police are appealing to the public for information about damage to the Howitt Gate on the Howitt Rd north of Licola sometime between October 30 and September 5.
Police said it appeared offenders used an angle grinder to cut the lock on the gate and a lug welded to the post, before entering the national park.
Tyre tracks indicate two vehicles entered the park.
The repair bill is estimated at $500.
