Police hit-run appeal

SALE Police are appealing for witnesses to a pedestrian crossing hit-run on Saturday.

According to police, a 17-year-old boy was knocked off his bike while crossing the pedestrian crossing near the post office on Desailly St about 4.30pm.

The car, a silver Holden Commodore with green P-plates, stopped for the boy before proceeding to accelerate forward in an apparent attempt to scare him.

The vehicle clipped the back of the boy’s bike and knocked him to the ground, and the motorist fled the scene.

The teenager received injuries which required hospital treatment.
