A 26-YEAR-old Blind Bight man was airlifted to Melbourne last weekend after he was flung from his motorcycle at Dargo.
The solo rider was travelling in a group along the Dargo Rd on September 15, when his bike clipped the railing as he was crossing a one-way bridge near Riverford Rd.
He lost control and was thrown from the bike, sustaining significant injuries to his arms and internal organs.
The man was treated at the scene for 45 minutes by paramedics from Helimed-1 who prepared him for transport.
With nowhere else for the traffic to go, the incident resulted in long delays, causing a bank up of traffic in the Dargo area.
Police are investigating.
