Blood clue for police

A LARGE amount of blood found outside a Sale hotel could lead police to an offender.

Sale police said between 12.10am and 6.30am last Friday, October 11, a window on the York St side of the Gippsland Hotel was smashed.

Police said a large amount of blood was in the area.

They are asking people with information to phone Constable Rachael Kennedy on 5143 5000.

Deer culprit

A DEER has been blamed for an accident near Briagolong on Tuesday.

Police said the accident happened when the driver of a utility swerved to avoid the deer on Marathon Rd, about 20km north of Briagolong, about 9pm Tuesday.

The vehicle, containing three men, rolled down an embankment and came to rest about 50 metres below the roadway.

Two of the men, including the 20-year-old driver from Kilmany, received minor injuries, and an ambulance was not needed.
