Super Hornets sting in Sale

TWO F/A-18F Super Hornets from Number 6 Squadron at RAAF Base Amberley, near Brisbane, have been visiting RAAF East Sale, since Wednesday.

The crews have spent the past days showing students from the School of Air Warfare and other base units around the Super Hornet.

Commanding Officer 6 Squadron,Wing Commander Robert Denney, said visits like these provided current students at the training schools with the motivation to continue with their studies and also provided a better understanding of the fast jet capabilities that they were learning about.

The Super Hornets will leave RAAF East Sale about noon today.

An interview with one of the Super Hornet pilots will feature in Tuesday’s Gippsland Times.
