Vehicle lead in hotel fire

WELLINGTON Crime Investigation Unit detectives are keen to speak to the driver of a white utility with a tray and the driver of a blue-green sedan who notified the CFA of the Port Albert Hotel fire.

The historic hotel was gutted by fire on Monday, February 17.

It is believed the fire began about 7.40pm and destroyed the historic property.

Police believe there were a number of people in the area at the time leading up to the blaze and are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything to come forward.
