Wing Commander James Allen of RAAF Base, East Sale, with a 500 pound bomb that was dropped on the Dutson bombing range sometime between 1960 and 2000. During this time, more than 180 bombs were recorded as dropped but did not explode, and have not been found.

The Defence Department is warning hunters and other trespassers to heed signs around the Dutson air weapons range, following an incident last week where tresspassers wandered into the thick of a night training session.
